What is it?
The TM44 Air Conditioning Inspection is a 5 yearly inspection of the air conditioning system, it will assess the condition and operation of the air conditioning systems and will provide recommendations to assist building managers, owners and operators to improve or maintain the efficiency of the air conditioning systems.
Are You Compliant?
The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive requires that buildings with air conditioning systems totalling 12kW or more require a 5 yearly inspection.
If your air conditioning system is more than 5 years old and has not been inspected then the controller of the system is liable for penalties which are issued by Trading Standards.

What is involved?
The air conditioning inspection will be carried out by an accredited air conditioning assessor and will involve two elements, a site inspection and a report.
The inspection will consist of:
• A visual inspection of the air conditioning system.
• An examination of the components of the air conditioning system(s) including the indoor unit, outdoor unit and controls.
• Taking photographs and measurements of the air conditioning systems.
The report will consist of:
• Information on the size of the systems
• The quantity and type of refrigerant used.
• Details of any faults found and recommended actions to resolve any issues.
• Suggestions and recommendations on improving the efficiency of the air conditioning systems and save you money.
